Human Trafficking Safehouse Support Worker
The Ivory Coast is a major destination for children trafficked within the West African region. Individuals are needed to help run a safehouse located in Abidjan. Here, young women who have been trafficked for the purposes of sexual exploitation can find refuge, a hot meal, and a safe place to rest.

HIV/AIDS Peer Health Educator
The suffering due to HIV/AIDS in the Ivory Coast has been devastating. Despite widespread knowledge of the existence of HIV/AIDS, stigma and misunderstanings are still widespread. It is necessary to raise awareness about how HIV is spread and the importance of getting tested. In this position you will be part of a team reaching out, connecting with, and educating people about HIV/AIDS.

Orphanage Assistant
Volunteers are needed to work with children orphaned by HIV/AIDS, war, and internal displacement. Whilst the Ivory Coast is a francophone country, fluency in French is not necessary for this particular position. Therefore, it is an ideal opportunity not only for those who already speak French, but also for someone interested in learning French while volunteering.

With few other options, many women turn to prostitution to provide for themselves or to put a meal on the family dinner table. Our partners provide women with a safe space, counseling, and alternative skills training. A participant is needed to work with groups of women as they progress through their alternative skills program.

Leadership for Street Youth Worker
Street youth in Lima face a very real risk of getting into gangs and the drug trade. Our partners work directly with such youth to provide meaningful alternatives. You will be part of an exceptional team working on the front lines of urban poverty and community development. Through your role, you will help youth to become leaders in their community.

Once a year, while winter takes hold of the northern hemisphere, participants are needed to work as camp counsellors at a summer camp in Lima. The summer camp provides a positive environment in which children can laugh, learn, play and just be kids.
